El panorama de las transformaciones urbanas de los últimos tiempos dejan la percepción que la naturaleza, estructura y forma de las estrategias de desarrollo urbano han variado en un rango tal que deben abrirse nuevos debates para enmarcar los procesos de intervención en la ciudad, sus condiciones y sus efectos. El objetivo general de ésta tesina es revisar las políticas y actuaciones de regeneración urbana de barrio Torrassa, y constatar si han culminado sus objetivos y han sido realmente efectivas en la mejora de la cohesión social general del barrio y en particular en la convivencia entre los inmigrantes y los autóctonos. Se parte de la hipótesis de que las políticas y actuaciones en materia regeneración urbana y vivienda, pueden favorecer la cohesión social del barrio, la integración de la población inmigrada, y paliar los efectos de las desigualdades que grupos de población sufre en el acceso a los recursos urbanos (vivienda, espacio público, equipamientos). Se propone una fase teórica en la que se estudiarán los conceptos de regeneración, transformación urbana relacionados con las políticas urbanas y la convivencia en el barrio La Torrassa. Se evaluará la transformación urbana, las características físicas del espacio público y el comportamiento ciudadano en el espacio público por medio de una investigación cualitativa y cuantitativa

The panorama of the urban transformations of last times they leave the perception that the nature, structure and form of the strategies of urban development have changed in a such status that new debates must open to themselves to frame the processes of intervention in the city, its conditions and its effects. The general target of this one tesina is to check the politics and performances of urban regeneration of quarter Torrassa, and to state if they have reached its targets and have been really effective in the progress of the general social cohesion of the quarter and in particular in the coexistence between the immigrants and the indigenous ones. It breaks of the hypothesis of which the politics and performances in matter urban regeneration and housing, can favor the social cohesion of the quarter, the integration of the immigrated population, and relieve the effects of the inequality that groups of population suffer in the access to the urban resources (housing, public space,equipment's). There is proposed a theoretical phase in which there will be studied the concepts of regeneration, urban transformation related to the urban politics and the coexistence in the quarter The Torrassa. There will be evaluated the urban transformation, the physical characteristics of the public space and the civil behaviour in the public space by means of a qualitative and quantitative investigation
